National Day came, and I found myself on a conveyor belt of blind dates.
The CEO, my workaholic brother, got into a heated argument with Mom.
'She's still young, there's no rush,' he insisted.
Mom fumed, 'You're 28 and she's 24, neither of you has even dated anyone. Do you still think you're kids?'
Drew Carter casually picked the vegetable stems I didn't eat into his bowl. 'I have dated. We broke up.'
I jolted, stepping on his foot under the table.
Mom was surprised. 'Is there no chance of reconciliation?'
Drew ignored my struggle, playing with my fingertips under the table.
'Mom's asking you a question. Is there a chance to get back together?'
