Tainted Virtue

After being rescued from the cliff fall, I suddenly stopped obsessing over Grant Emerson.
No longer chasing after him, inquiring about his well-being, or trying to please him.
Instead, I shut myself in the prayer room daily, devoutly reciting scriptures.
Even when he came to break off our engagement, I merely nodded and said, 'Alright.'
Then I continued to kneel and pray:
'God bless me, God have mercy.'
'That day at the bottom of the cliff, I was drugged, which is why I had no choice but to defile that young lord.'
'It was only one night, surely I won't be with child, right?'
'He won't be able to find me either, right?'
