The General's Defiance

I had a dream.
In the dream, I was physically tormented and mentally crushed by my own husband, yet I continued to love him without complaint.
Only after willingly letting him drain my last drop of blood did I take my own life, carrying the regret and sorrow of his lack of love for me.
As I awoke from this grand dream, I realized it was all because I was the tragic heroine in a story.
I was utterly confused. Was I some kind of pathetic person?
Looking at my husband, who seemed intent on tormenting me as before, I stretched my muscles and decided I shouldn't be the only one to wake up.
